• Bridging the Scale-Up Gap: Fraunhofer FFB provides state-of-the-art facilities (FFB PreFab and the upcoming 7 GWh FFB Fab) designed to transition laboratory chemistry innovations into market-ready, gigascale cell production.
• 100% European Technology Validation: Operates digitalized, open-access pilot lines for pouch and prismatic cells using European machinery, inline AI sensor quality control, and advanced dry rooms.
• Empowering Startups & SMEs: Grants regional and European companies shared access to multi-million euro pilot facilities, avoiding prohibitive CapEx barriers during early line ramp-ups.
• Enhancing the “Airbus Model”: Integrates Fraunhofer FFB into LiPLANET’s decentralized network, supporting standardized Round-Robin inter-line testing and harmonized legal frameworks (T&Cs and MTAs) across European borders.
